A. Contact Form and Newsletter

When you contact us via the website or sign up for our newsletter, we collect your name, email address, and any information provided in your message.

Purpose: To respond to your inquiries and, where you have opted in, to send you newsletters and Notices to Trade.

B. Events and Delegations

For participants in IGTC events or delegations, dietary or accessibility information collected may include sensitive personal data, particularly where it reveals health information or religious beliefs.

IGTC may provide participant names and organisational affiliations to host organisations, government missions and security personnel where required for registration, access, security or event coordination. Contact information will only be provided with the participant’s prior consent.

IGTC may photograph events for use on its website and communications materials. Photography and publication of identifiable images of participants at IGTC events require appropriate information and, where required, consent. If you would prefer not to appear in published photographs, or would like an image removed, please contact the Secretariat.

Our website is hosted on Wix, which may use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality and analytics. IGTC does not use cookies for advertising or profiling.

4. Third-Party Services and International Transfer

To support our operations, we use the following third-party service providers. Your data may be processed outside Switzerland.

Wix: Website hosting and infrastructure.

Mailchimp: Email distribution and subscriber management.

Microsoft OneDrive: Secure storage for internal documents and member records.

Where data is transferred outside Switzerland, we rely on adequate safeguards recognised under the FADP, including the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

IGTC does not sell personal data. Personal data is disclosed to third parties only for the purposes described in this policy or with consent where required.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time, after which they will be removed from active distribution. Limited information may be retained where necessary to record and respect the unsubscribe request. Retention of financial and organisational records is governed by IGTC’s obligations under Swiss law.
